Goji Berry – Strawberry Porridge (fun video inside)

You can never go wrong with a bowl of creamy oatmeal porridge topped with colourful fruits!  I normally find that adding yummy fruits to the mix is the easiest way to offer my children a variety of fruits and superfoods they would not normally consume alone – common addition is that of banana, hemp seeds and raisins.


Today I focused on berries – namely goji berries and strawberries, I slightly cooked the goji berries along with the oats to soften for my daughters to easily digest.  I do the same with raisins and other dried fruits.

 Prep: 3 minutes

Cooking time: 6-7 mins

Total time: 10 mins ••• Serves 4 people

Ingredients (all organic)

2 cups pure oats (gluten free)

2 cups almond milk (add more for creamier oats)

1 1/2 tbsp Goji BerriesEdit (or as much as you require)

2 large strawberries (chopped)

1 cup raw Coconut chips

Agave (cactus) syrup

Steps for Goji Berry – Strawberry Porridge 

Pour oats, goji and milk into saucepan and bring to a boil

After 5 minutes add shredded coconut

Lower hear and Stir occasionally to avoid burning

Once you are happy with cooked oats turn off heat (remove from saucepan and into a bowl for cooling)

Squeeze in agave syrup and give oats a good mix

Leave for one minute before serving

Chop strawberries and stir in
